After seven years, the center officially returns to its original name Polus, which for many years was a symbol of the modern shopping era and became an integral part of the identity of Bratislava residents. The rebranding represents the first visible step in a comprehensive modernization that is already underway and is gradually changing the character of the entire space.
At the same time, the center continues its transformation – In early January 2026, its extensive renovation began., which will primarily reflect the needs of people and everyday urban life. The project also takes into account the planned development of the Kuchajda lake area. The goal is to create practical local shopping center, where visitors can get everything they need in one place.
The renovation primarily focuses on returning to a clear floor plan that allows for easy and intuitive movement. The changes also include the introduction of new navigational elements, a more efficient layout of operations, and the gradual building of a balanced tenant mix.
All changes are designed to bring a more practical, modern, and attractive environment, which will improve the overall visitor experience. The reconstruction will affect not only the visual aspect of the center but also its functionality, so that Polus, upon returning to its brand, will fully fulfill its role as a natural urban center for the general public.
Opening of new establishments: Kaufland will become part of Polus
These changes are already evident in the offerings today. Among the new establishments is, for example, a fitness center. Golem and gradually more concepts are added. The offering will also be strengthened by the arrival of the brand Miller, which will expand the drugstore and everyday purchases segment. The Müller brand is known for its high quality and wide selection of goods. Its assortment includes drugstores and perfumery, toys, multimedia, stationery, household goods, as well as organic food, confectionery, pet food, and supplies.
A key part of the transformation will also be the arrival of a new supermarket. Kaufland, which will be located in a section currently undergoing reconstruction. Its opening is planned for autumn 2026 and represents an important step in fulfilling the strategy.

Fokus Optika has moved to new premises on the ground floor, opposite the BioTech USA store.

Bijou Brigitte can be found on the ground floor in the main rotunda next to the Geco store.
Optika Mania has reopened on January 24th at a new location on the ground floor next to the Tescoma store.
Grandfather has been relocated since January 9th to the ground floor opposite the Ševt store.
