The Naglreiter bakery was founded by Hans and Emmi Naglreiter in 1989 as a small, family-run business. They started with 16 employees and supplied local shops and hotels.

In the following years, the first stores were established, which spurred further development.
The Naglreiter bakery currently has 15 branches in Austria and employs 160 people.

Despite its expansion, the company remains a family business.
In 2007, Naglreiter started operations in Slovakia and founded HM Naglreiter s.r.o.
